University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS)

One of the four campuses in the University of Colorado system, UCCS was founded in 1965 and is prepared to meet the higher education demands of the community or the 21st century. The university offers 22 undergraduate degrees, 14 master's programs, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science, and professional programs for its students.

UCCS recently acquired Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences, which is a professional college offering curricula leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing and health science. Student nurses are placed in a variety of hospitals, mental health facilities and other agencies in the region for their clinical learning experiences.

The U.S. Air Force Academy traces its history to 1954 when President Eisenhower signed legislation authorizing its creation. The Pikes Peak region was chosen for many reasons including abundant land, good flying weather and a supportive community.

Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC) is a comprehensive two-year college that offers associate degrees and certificates in nearly 100 programs. Programs provide freshman and sophomore level college courses for transfer to four-year colleges and universities, occupational training for employment in technical and vocational fields, courses to upgrade present occupation skills, courses for personal growth and remedial instruction.

Colorado College (CC)

Colorado College is a distinctive, independent, co-education liberal arts college that attracts an international student body. Established in 1874, the college combines excellent teaching in the arts and sciences with a unique academic calendar called the Block Plan.

Regis University

Regis University is a Jesuit institution founded in Denver in 1887, now with 14 different campuses. Both Colorado Springs campuses are for students over the age of 23 who possess significant college, work or life experience. With approximately over 1,000 undergraduate and over 300 graduate students, classes are held at night and on weekends to better accommodate the students' work schedules. This accelerated program divides its academic year into six different eight-week terms, allowing students to progress as rapidly as desired.

Regis University offers bachelor degree programs in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Liberal Arts, Communications, Humanities, Psychology, Social Science and Nursing. Masters' degrees are offered in Business Administration (MBA), Liberal Studies (MALS) and Non-Profit Management (MNM). Teacher Certifications for Colorado and Wyoming may also be obtained through Regis in conjunction with either the bachelor or master's degrees.

The concentrated-study courses meet one night a week for five- or six-week sessions. Students generally take only one course at a time. The University of Phoenix offers bachelor and master degrees in Business Administration and Management, Information Systems, Nursing and a Master of Arts in Education.

National American University

Colorado Christian University (CCU)

Colorado Christian University was founded in 1914 in Denver. Currently, it operates with campuses in Lakewood, Morrison, Colorado Springs and Grand Junction, with a total enrollment of 1,800.
