Industrial Revolution

The PPWFC's Youth Zone Industrial Revolution program is an award winning program widely recognized throughout the region as having one of the finest curriculum in the state of Colorado. The Industrial Revolution recently won the "Best Practice" award at the RMWDA conference held June 9-11, 2010.
Youth participants spend each day visiting a local business, learning about the ever-changing workplace. The visits include intensive Q & A sessions, as well as, impressive hands on demonstrations of the technical aspects of the trades. The youth spend mornings in the computer lab, working to improve their math skills, as well as, learning about the industry they will be visiting that day.
This competitive program selects participants based upon an essay they write explaining how they would benefit from the program and their performance during interviews with the PPWFC staff.
The program has run for the past three years, from June 1 until June 30.
