Unless otherwise noted, all Hiring Events are held at the PPWFC main office, 1675 Garden of the Gods Road, Colorado Springs, 80907.

Hire Abilities Job Fair - October 8, 2015 Individuals with Disabilities, who are seeking employment, are invited to the Hire Abilities Job Fair. Over 25 companies have signed up for this job fair hosted by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and the Pikes Peak Workforce Center (PPWFC). All the companies attending the Hire Abilities Job Fair have open positions and are interested in hiring those who have disabilities. It is estimated that there are over 250 open positions available to the job fair attendees. Attendees must have an account in ConnectingColorado.com; no other registration is necessary. The Hire Abilities Job Fair is October 8, 2015, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m at the Citizens Service Center in rooms 1019 and 1020.

Graven Austin & Drake Hiring Event: Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 10 am to Noon at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. We are a fast paced outbound call center and deal with a large range of clients from Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies Home Journal, salons, dental offices and various other customers. Immediate openings for TELEPHONE SALES REPRESENTATIVES. Responsibilities: Renew annual magazine subscriptions for most of our clientele and send out free publications to companies, and as a fast paced production based position, to meet the required quotas. Weekly pay ranges from $9.00 to $10.00 an hour. Two shifts Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm OR 3:00pm to 8:00 pm. No experience necessary but we do require you have strong reading and good communication skills. Computer skills are a plus. We offer paid time off to be accrued after only six months of employment. Alorica Hiring Event: Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. Presentation starts promptly at 10 am, 11 am, Noon, and 1 pm. RETENTION/SALES REPRESENTATIVES - Qualified candidates must have: Exceptional communication skills, a fierce drive to succeed, ability to establish strong customer rapport and a genuine passion for helping people, demonstrated success in working independently and working as a productive member of a team, ability to assess customer’s needs and issues to recommend the features, benefits and value of product offerings specific to the customer, offer solutions to specific issues/concerns identified.  Also ability to field inbound calls from customers requesting to disconnect service or demonstrating signs of intent to disconnect and ability to follow company process to maximize retention opportunity. Must have a HS diploma or GED, be at least 18 years of age, able to pass background check and a drug screen, have the availability/flexibility for nights, weekends, and holiday shifts, able to adhere to an assigned work schedule, be dependable and punctual, have excellent telephone etiquette, able to multitask and diffuse difficult situations, handle high call volumes, handle sensitive and confidential information, attention to detail and quality-oriented. SNI Technology is seeking individuals with experience or technical training in positions including Help Desk, Desktop Support, Network/Systems Administration and Software Engineering/Development. We currently have several open positions across the front range we are looking to fill with qualified candidates; many are looking for someone to start immediately. North Pole, Santa's Workshop Hiring Event: Thursday, October 15, 2015 from Noon to 4 pm at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. We are recruiting for Ride Operators, Food Service, Shop Sales and Cashier positions. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, be able to work weekends, have reliable transportation, pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test, flexibility and availability for overtime. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Ride Operators must be able to work outdoors in cold weather. Work experience is not required. Please bring a resume and be prepared to fill out an application.

CHEFS Catalog Hiring Event: Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 1 pm to 4 pm and Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 9 am to Noon at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. SEASONAL WAREHOUSE positions such as Pickers, Packers and Material Handlers requiring ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability between 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday and possible Saturdays. Warehouse Seasonal Pay starts at $9.50/hour. CHEFS will also accept applications for Seasonal Call Center positions. CHEFS is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
