To attend a hiring event at Pikes Peak Workforce Center you must RESERVE A SPOT PRIOR to the event. To reserve your spot, please click on the link of the hiring event you want to attend.
 
Unless otherwise noted, all Hiring Events are held at the PPWFC main office, 1675 Garden of the Gods Road, Colorado Springs, 80907.

Luce Research Hiring Events: Luce Research Hiring Events: July 8, 14, 20 and 28, 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. Luce Research is a Data Collection Specialist that conducts surveys via phone/web in such areas of Market Research; Political Research, Voter Contact, etc. Hiring part-time positions with flexibility in setting up your schedules. Shifts are seven days a week and have immediate openings for ENGLISH AND BILINGUAL TELEPHONE INTERVIEWERS who will conduct these surveys through a computer aided Telephone Interviewing system (CATI System). Salary starts at $9.00/hr. Come prepared with two forms of ID and be ready to interview at the PPWFC hiring event or go directly to Luce Research LLC located at 5086 List Drive Colorado Springs, CO 80919 Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 4pm to apply.

Loram Maintenance of Way Information Session: Thursday, July 21, 2016 10:00-3:00 pm at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. Loram Maintenance of Way is one of the leading suppliers of track maintenance machinery and services in North America and the global market. LORAM employees operate and maintain highly specialized railway maintenance equipment that is contracted to major railroads throughout North America. LORAM is currently seeking individuals for our entry-level position of GENERAL LABORERS. Qualified candidates should possess the following skills/attributes: mechanical ability and aptitude, hydraulic, electrical, or welding skills, comfort level on/around heavy equipment/large machinery and desire/ability to travel across North America (this position requires 100% travel (work will not be based near your place of residence). All potential General Laborer’s must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test, pass a railroad required pre-employment background check (no previous felony convictions) and meet LORAM’s Driving Policy (no major driving offenses within the last two years). General Laborer candidates must also successfully complete a pre-employment physical and physical assessment test. Every General Laborer must successfully complete LORAM’s five day paid new hire training, including a written safety exam. Bring a smile to the elderly, by providing non-medical companionship and home care services to help seniors remain in their homes for as long as possible. No previous experience necessary since we provide skills training. We are looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. We provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Duties include, but are not limited to: Companionship and conversation, light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation, medication and appointment reminders, assistance with grooming, bathing, toileting, incontinence issues, and Alzheimer’s Care. Requirements to be a CAREGiver: Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect, ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner, complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen, possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance. Goodwill Staffing Hiring Event: Thursday, June 30, 2016  from 12 pm to 4 pm at the PPWFC Satellite Office in Monument. Goodwill Staffing is a division of Discover Goodwill filling positions for our clients outside of Discover Goodwill. Currently recruiting for Cooks, Foodservice, Dishwashers and Housekeeping for local healthcare facilities on the far north end of Colorado Springs, Monument and Palmer Lake.  We are also looking for people to fill General Labor, Construction and Landscaping positions in Monument and Falcon/Peyton area.  Must be flexible with schedule as you could be scheduled any day of the week. Pay Rate $9.50 to $13 per hour DOE.  For all positions, a background check and a drug screen may be required. We are seeking MATERIAL HANDLERS for our client located in Monument, CO. No previous experience required! Positions are entry-level and candidates must only be 18 years old and have a GED to be eligible. Compensation: $9.00 to $10.00 per hour plus available overtime. Time Warner Cable Hiring Event: Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. INBOUND SALES REPRESENTATIVES: Receive calls from potential customers and sell residential cable, internet, home phone, and home management services. Responsible for learning customers’ household needs and making recommendations. Sell, transfer, provide information, and offer assistance on all aspects of cable services. Position requires: Excellent communication and persuasion skills, strong computer skills, some sales and/or telemarketing experience preferred, available to work any assigned shift within open hours – 8 am to 10 pm Monday to Saturday, and 10 am to 9 pm Sunday, high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. This position allows unlimited earning potential based on performance. Base Salary plus aggressive uncapped commission, excellent benefits. Cheyenne Mountain Re-Entry Center Hiring Event: Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. Cheyenne Mountain Re-Entry Center is not the Department of Corrections, but it is a correctional facility. We are hiring for Operational Counselor (Correctional Officer), Program Counselor/ Casemanager, Vocational Teacher, and Food Service Worker. (CMRC) offers Competitive benefit's with a generous vacation package after 90 days and a competitive wage for the area and industry. We conduct Drug Testing as a condition of employment. Must be 21 years of age and must be able to work all shifts (24 hour facility, 7 days a week). Must be able to pass PPCT (Pressure Point and Control Tactics). Must be able to pass a Colorado Department of Corrections background check. CMRC is a 24 hour, 7 day a week facility with three eight hour shifts. Qualified candidates will be interviewed.
