You
must file an Initial Claim with the Colorado Department
of Labor and Employment at 1-800-388-5515 or at the
website http://www.coworkforce.com/ and click on Unemployment
Insurance Claims.
You Must Be:

a résumé to an employer who has an
open position for which you qualify
- Mailing
a résumé to an employer who has an
open position for which you qualify
- Calling
an employer to discuss job openings for which you
qualify
- Faxing
a résumé to an employer who has positions
for which you qualify
- Locating
a job, for which you qualify, on the Internet and
applying for that position as the employer requests
Keep good records
- Work-Search
Log - A work-search log is a list of the ways you
have tried to find work; applying over the internet,
mailing a resume, calling an employer, etc. Make
sure to note the date that you applied, the person/s
that you spoke to, and what method of application
you used. These records may become part of an audit
on your claim.

7:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays, except holidays, or

and Tuesdays have the heaviest call volume and
you may wait longer for service. The Hearing Impaired
