The Governor’s Summer Job Hunt Program Can Help!
Get a Jump Start on Your Summer Job Search by Participating in the Governor’s Summer Job Hunt!
If you are 14-21 years of age and live in El Paso or Teller Counties, you are
eligible for help with your job search and other employment services.
First, you MUST register with the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. You can
register in several ways:
- You can register by coming into the Youth Zone at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center, 2306 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, 80909.
- You can register online at www.ppwfc.org, click on the Youth Zone icon in the middle of the page and then click on “Register for Work. You will need your Social Security number and work history or related experience to register online;
- Or, you can call Starr at 667-3881.
Once you have registered, you can discuss job leads with the Governor’s
Summer Job Hunt (GSJH) Coordinator, or any Youth Zone Career Advisor.
The Youth Zone staff will give you job leads for entry-level paid employment for the summer months.
You can also attend workshops and get written information on how to complete job applications, write a resume, interviewing tips and how to keep your job once you are hired.
